Thanks for the message, and for the kind...Hi Thor!

Thanks for the message, and for the kind words.

Jay mentioned birding with you in Attu. You guys had a great trip - if I'd known at the start of the year that I'd be doing this, I'd probably have gone myself.

Yes, it's looking like a good year for Geese (and Swans.) I'm hoping the Pink-footed and Bean Geese will end up closer to home, but I'll probably have to head up to Canada for the Yellow-legged Gull.

Good luck on your trip here - let me know if you need any local birding suggestions / help. I may be free to team up with you if you need a birding partner.

Thanks again,
- NeilAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12852470264664628180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3327328801244950917.post-64681888056893218582013-10-26T19:55:47.487-04:002013-10-26T19:55:47.487-04:00Hi Neil: Now that I have a Google Mail account, I ...Hi Neil: Now that I have a Google Mail account, I just wanted to thank you for your entertaining, as well as very informative posts on your blog in pursuit of your Big Year quest. I have been reading them regularly, and appreciate not only the fact that they are well written, but also contain some valuable intel on locations to find particular birds. I birded Attu this year with your colleague Jay Lehman, and have followed your exhausting schedules for most of the year on your respective blogs.
I will be in your home state next month, hoping that a Barnacle, and/or Pink footed Goose shows up there. It looks like you have some options in Nova Scotia/NFLD., if they are no shows in New England this year I am sure you have noticed that a Yellow legged Gull has shown up in NFLD within the past week.
Good luck the rest of the way.
